"Providing Peace of Mind in a Supportive Environment" Adult Day Program at River Garden provides support for older adults in the community who are able to live at home but may require health monitoring, socialization and nutritional guidance in a secure setting during daytime hours and, at the same time, providing peace of mind for their caregiver. The Adult Day Program is open seven (7) days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to meet the needs of caregivers who work full time or who need some extra time for other daily activities. Our goal is to provide a secure and supportive environment through a comprehensive program fostering mental and physical wellness.The activities each day offer a variety of choices for all participants, including:

• Exercise
• Crafts
• Movies
• Music programs
• Games
• Bingo
• Discussion groups
• Celebrations
• Intergenerational programs
• Special programs

Overseeing and guiding the Adult Day Program is an experienced staff dedicated to the special needs of the elderly while encouraging them to be as independent as possible. Nutritious and attractively prepared meals* and snacks are served each day with particular attention devoted to those on special diets. Blood pressure monitoring, nutritional guidance and exercise programs foster mental and physical wellness. Clients of the Adult Day Program have access to all River Garden services including:

• Primary Medical Care: Primary medical care is available to clients through the University of Florida Center for Geriatric Medicine located on our campus.
• Therapy: The Therapy Center at River Garden offers Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy and is accessible to Adult Day clients with a prescription from their doctor.
• Transportation: Participants living within ten miles can arrange to be picked up in the morning.
• Personal Care: Beauty and barbershop services can be scheduled during the program day. Special arrangements can be made for bath/hygiene services.
• Respite Stays: Clients have priority access to River Garden Hebrew Home for short-stay care when family members or caregivers are away.

 The Adult Day Program at River Garden is offered as an affordable fee-for-service program to older adults in the community. River Garden's Adult Day Program and all other services and amenities at River Garden are available on a nonsectarian basis.
