16^th Annual River Garden Golf Classic is A Success Once Again

It was a fabulous day at Deerwood Country Club on Wednesday, April 18^th for the 16^th Annual River Garden Classic, sponsored by Hardage-Giddens Funeral Homes & Cemeteries. In celebration of The Golden Age of Golf, players arrived to traditional bagpipe music, and were greeted by volunteers dressed as flappers and 2 beautiful vintage cars on display, courtesy of Dana’s Limousine. After registration and lunch, golfers took to the course where they tested their skills at chipping contests and other games. The day ended with a reception and awards presentation emceed by Jacksonville radio personality Robbie Rose of 99.1 WQIK.

This year's tournament raised more than $71,000 to benefit The Albert Z. Fleet Geriatric Training Center at River Garden and the students who graduate into a new caring profession as Certified Nursing Assistants. Since the tournament’s inception in 1997, more than $975,000 has been raised.

This marked Price’s twelfth year as chairman and Lodinger’s sixteenth.
