Over 100 people will be gathering at River Garden Hebrew Home to celebrate the 50-year anniversary of Woodstock. The program will include a presentation by Jacksonville local, Martin Edwards. He will recount his insider memories of the four days from the perspective of his entrepreneurial youth, as he sold snow-cones during the music festival.
Whether or not you experienced the event, heard about it or are interested in its historical significance, you will want to hear Edwards’ recollections. Attendees are invited to come in hippie clothes and enjoy some festival souvenirs and a trivia game.
The program is a partnership of Shalom Jacksonville, a program of The Jacksonville Jewish Federation, and River Garden Senior Services. There is no charge for this program which will be held in River Garden’s Cohen Auditorium. Refreshments will be served. RSVP required.
