Join us for an opportunity to Catch Your Breath, and leave with tools to help cope with stress, find joy in the journey, and create meaningful moments with your loved ones. The Memory Disorder Clinic at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville is hosting a Caregiver Wellness Program designed for those who are caring for someone with dementia. Facilitators from Harmony Mind Body Spirit Wellness will also lead exercises.
This program will take place at River Garden Hebrew Home on Wednesday, September 18, from 1:30 pm – 5:00 pm. Registration is free; however, space is limited. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. https://bit.ly/3YH45OE?r=qr
This unique program provides a fun and interactive break to focus on the needs of those who care for someone living with dementia through the utilization of mind-body techniques like mindfulness, breathwork, and laughter yoga.
This program will help participants:
• Learn the basics of mindfulness, breathwork, and laughter yoga and how to incorporate them into everyday life.
• Practice mindfulness and laughter techniques that elicit a relaxation response and help the body handle stress.
• Appreciate the role of humor and positive thinking in coping with day-to-day challenges.
• Connect with other caregivers and share joy in a fun and supportive environment.
