Support for Caregivers of Those Dealing with Cognitive Impairment
Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia are on the rise and millions of people are affected, either directly or through the experience of caregiving for those who are cognitively impaired. If you or a loved one is navigating the challenges of dementia, River Garden is a wonderful place to connect with others in similar situations.
- Caregiver Support Group – Meet other caregivers, share your experiences and discuss support systems in the community that might be helpful. Meets at 3:30PM on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month.
- Adult Day Program – Caregiving for a loved one with dementia can be isolating and exhausting, but it doesn’t have to be. Adult Day services provide care and respite for families, helping both caregivers and those living with dementia.
